The clients that were brave enough to give feedback really hurt, there were many tears but it taught her well. The people that didn’t pay their invoice because the clean took too long, helped her find a faster way and the insurance claims she’s had to make from damaging surfaces with particular cleaning products really helped her find the right people to give her the right advice. Some accidents were her fault and some the fault of an already damaged surface, that she wasn’t educated enough to know how to clean.

Samantha has and always will research and seek out the right help to fix and solve any problem, there is no such thing as i give up in Sam’s vocabulary. She became who she needed most in her world, someone that cared to help and someone that had been where she was and got the results, she wanted.

In 2017, Samantha found that 3 out of 10 people couldn’t afford her service. When they really needed the work done, Sam found herself giving her products away and doing a quick teaching demo for her clients free of charge.

Three months later I had given out all my products and thought “geez I’ll have to start charging people for my products or I will end up cash flow pit”.

Throughout Samantha’s business journey, she realised, at times people were out to sell her a product or service without even knowing or caring if it was what she needed. Samantha decided she needed to change this and prevent people from being sucked in to an emotional and financial loss. While being honest, helpful and authentic, Sam focused on creating a team to be exactly who people needed and this is what the team remains today.

Sam believes if people cared more about their client’s needs, they would be super successful without even trying. In 2018 she realised this vision and opened up her very own cleaning shop. Sam promised to be the company that cared and always gave honest and detailed information based on results. Recently, Sam has gone one step further and launched the SHYN Academy. She plans to build a teaching empire, mentoring cleaning and detailing business owners on what they need to do to plug the gaps, build a strong foundation and how to scale a successful business. Sam hosts:

  • in person group cleaning workshops where you learn to master cleaning all surfaces in all conditions
  • one-on-one consulting sessions in person and virtually, helping people take action fast. For some people, one on one training allows tailored issues to be explained at a different level so they can take the right action at the right time.
  • self paced classes – through a platform where you can learn piece by piece on your own and in your own time. Keeping costs down, this training ensures students can watch videos and read the lessons at their own pace for a low cost investment. They also retain access for as long as they like. This training is perfect for teams you need trained. It saves owners time and money vs training them personally or paying others to do so.
